Precision Aerial is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our aerial application, crop protection and fixed-wing fire suppression activities.
This is a full-time role based in Meandarra, Queensland, offering the opportunity to work at the forefront of aerial application operations and management.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage and coordinate all operational activities, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery
- Daily liaison with clients, agronomists, chemical suppliers to coordinate application jobs
- CLASS computer program data entry management and production of duty sheets for pilots and ground crews
- Lead and develop a team of skilled pilots and ground crews
- Aircraft loading, as needed, during peak seasonal conditions
- Coordinate the maintenance and airworthiness of our aircraft fleet
- Coordination of the base maintenance and cleanliness
- Assist with compliance with all relevant aviation and aerial application regulations
- Assist with ongoing development and implementation of company safety management system
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in Aerial Application operations (preferable) or Farm Management or Agri-Services, in a supervisory or logistics role
- General computer literacy, with digital mapping experience & the ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations quickly
- Ideally someone who is familiar with agricultural aircraft, refueling and loading equipment
- People management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with farming clients
- Preferred qualifications (or willingness to urgently obtain):
Valid Australian Driver’s Licence, MR Truck Licence, DG Driver Licence, Forklift Licence, Chemical Handling Accreditation
