If you would like to join the AAAA, please complete the membership application form ensuring you apply for the appropriate membership level. 

If you hold an AOC, you can ONLY apply for operator membership. There are no exceptions to this rule. 

All membership applications must meet the membership requirements and be approved by the AAAA Board.  See below for how to apply.

Note: The AAAA does not currently offer membership services to Drone/UAS/RPAS operators and pilots involved exclusively with drone/UAS/RPAS operations. Contact your drone association for assistance.

Membership Categories

People applying for membership of AAAA must be able to provide evidence of some acceptable connection with the industry, for example as operator, pilot, engineer, staff, trainee or trade. 

Open to all companies & organisations that operate in either aerial application or firefighting and are regulated by CASA. Full voting rights. Must hold an AOC.  Annual subscriptions starting from $2,550. Please contact AAAA Office for annual membership subscription calculation options.

Open to all pilots that work in or are adjacent to aerial application or firefighting.  Must hold an ARN. Annual subscription is $250. 

For other individuals in the industry that do not fall into any other category or membership.  No voting rights.  Annual subscription is $250.

For companies associated with the industry wanting to support the goals and programs of AAAA.  No voting rights.  Annual subscription is $1,500.

AAAA Membership Categories 

People applying for membership of AAAA must be able to provide evidence of some acceptable connection with the industry, for example as operator, pilot, engineer, staff, trainee or trade. 

There are three levels of membership: Operator, Pilot and Associate. 

  • Operator: Full voting rights. Annual subscription calculated at 0.6% of turnover (but no less than $2,500 inc. GST). 
  • Pilot: Entitled to one collective vote at general meetings through the Pilot Director, elected onto the AAAA Board by pilot members if they total 50 or more members. Annual subscription $240 inc. GST.  

There are three sub levels within the Associate membership – Trade, Engineers and General. If you work for a company who provides services to the Aerial Application industry, you can only apply for Associate Trade membership. There are no exceptions to this rule. 

  • Associate – Trade: No voting rights. For companies associated with the industry wanting to support the goals and programs of AAAA. Annual subscription $1,100 inc. GST. 
  • Associate – Engineers: No voting rights. For aeronautical engineers working within the industry. Annual subscription $240 inc. GST. 
  • Associate – General: No voting rights. For individuals in the industry that do not fall into any other category. Annual subscription $240 inc. GST. 

Drone/UAS/RPAS Operators and Pilots please note: AAAA does not offer membership nor does it provide manuals or accreditations to companies or individuals involved only with drone/UAS/RPAS.
